Welcome to The Sweetwater Shop!

I was inspired to open The Sweetwater Shop in memory of my Grandmother, who recognized the beauty of the natural world around us and who always seemed to enjoy the little gifts that life presented. Always a positive influence in my life, she passed on the importance of making the healthiest choices you can on a variety of subjects - great or small. Ever the optimist, she remained cheerful and positive, even as Hurricane Sandy flooded her home of 43 years in Sweetwater, NJ in 2012. With a volunteering spirit and a penchant for helping others in need well into her 80’s, you could find her driving friends to appointments or working in her studio making and painting artfully designed bird houses.

Whenever I’m in my workshop creating my nature inspired jewelry designs, or making my favorite organic sugar scrubs, she is never far from my mind.

If you are wondering how I got my start making organic scrubs and lotions, it was several years ago when I suddenly became allergic to many of the cosmetics and skin-care products I used daily. I never really read the product labels previously, and like many others, I suppose, fell victim to false claims and misleading advertising. As an environmental specialist by trade, I grew concerned about the artificial ingredients and chemicals in these products, and the harmful effects they can have. What a learning experience – I couldn’t believe what I found! As a result, I set out to make my own products using organic and non-genetically modified ingredients, and my skin feels better than ever!

The countless hours spent perfecting my product line have begun to bear fruit, and now I am excited to share the joys of my new-found passion with all of you!! I hope you enjoy my shop and viewing the products I have to offer. Thank you for stopping by. Come back often to see my new creations.
